UPDATE: As promised, here are a few photos and a quick little update on our trip to Disneyland this past weekend. As mentioned previously, this was a very last minute trip for the two of us. Earlier in the month, we learned that our Albuquerque friends, Amy and Kris, were taking their 5-year old daughter, Katie, to Disneyland the week of March 23rd as an Easter morning surprise. We then learned, separate from Amy and Kris, that our Farmington friends, Shelly and Vernon, were also taking their two children to Anaheim to visit family that very same week. My original hope was for the two families to connect with one another while in Disneyland, but, when one of them said, "We really wish you and Dan could come with us...," I thought to myself, "What a fantastically great idea!" and voila! Our vacation plan was tossed together in less than 2 weeks.
It was a short, fast trip, but we had an absolutely wonderful time and did just about everything on my list, despite the horribly long lines and enormously large spring break crowd! Attached below are a few photos from our trip, including a snapshot from the Parade of Dreams, a photo of me on Alice in Wonderland's Mad Tea Party spinning tea cup ride, and a nighttime a photo of the fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Also attached is a photo of Amy, Shelly, and me in Sunshine Plaza at California Adventure Park and photo of Dan and me clowning around on Disneyland's Main Street. And no, for those crazy friends of mine who will ask, this is not a photo of Dan proposing!
Last but not least, we want to thank you, our dear vacationing companions, for the magical memories of this spectacular two day trip! You are truly two of our very most favorite families and we are grateful for your friendship. Thanks again for letting us crash your vacation! It was a pleasure spending time with you in Anaheim!
